  • Create a launch video: my last PH launch was my first time creating a promotional video for my company, but it was well worth it.
  • Create a compelling story: creating a story that resonates with your target market may compel them to check out your software.
  • Choose a suitable launch date: if you want to win #1 Product of the Day, launch on the weekend as they’re the least busy days. But if you want more traffic, launch on a weekday, like Monday or Tuesday.
  • Inform your followers/subscribers: if you’ve got a social media following or newsletter subscribers, you may want to inform them of the launch so they can support you by upvoting you on Product Hunt.

If you’re not posting about your startup on Reddit, you’re missing out on valuable traffic. Reddit is one of the largest social media platforms and its monthly organic traffic surpasses X (Twitter) and TikTok. With more than 100,000 active subreddits, there’s a community to discuss anything you can think of.

Another perk of launching your product on Reddit is it’s a great way to validate your micro-SaaS idea. You’ll be sure it’s solving real-life problems people are willing to pay for — this will save you expending time and energy on a product no one wants. Also, you may get feedback, which will help in product development. Also, it’s a great way to get a backlink to your site and boost your SEO.

To avoid getting downvoted, you’ll need to do either of these;

Some of the best subreddits to market your product are r/Entrepreneur, r/Startups, r/SaaS, r/SideProject, r/InternetIsBeautiful, r/dataisbeautiful. Here are some considerations for marketing your micro-SaaS startup on Reddit.

After getting a bit of background about your prospects, create a list of topics targeting their pain points and the various stages in their journey. Someone aware of their problem could be looking for strategies or educational materials to solve it. Another person who’s considering making a purchase could be comparing competitors while someone who wants to make a purchase could be reading reviews, testimonials, and case studies.

  • Create a social media plan

With the topics you’ve listed and your ICP, you should have an idea of the social networks where your ICP congregates. For B2B prospects, the best platforms are LinkedIn and Twitter while Instagram and Facebook could be the best platforms for B2C. TikTok is great for Gen Z.

Next up is the creation of a content calendar to keep you organized.

When cold DMing people on social media, it’ll make more sense if you’ve been creating some form of content to position yourself as an authority. If you haven’t done this, you may come off as too intrusive.

Personalization is the key when it comes to cold email campaign success. Do a bit of research — find their recent achievement, news, blog or social media post and use that as your ice breaker. Also, ensure that the person fits in your ICP: this way, your message will be relevant and increase your chances of actually booking a call with the prospect.

Also, when writing your cold email/DM script, be direct and concise. Most people won’t read long messages from people they don’t know. Try to state the problem the prospect is likely facing, then tell them how your product/service solves the problem using your value proposition.
